Women and their Families Centre

We offer a safe space for women who are suffering or impacted by Domestic Abuse as well women with wider support needs.  

 We provide a holistic range of support from the Centre including groups and drop ins. We have a creche facility, which is available for some of our courses. 

Please note that attendance is by appointment only – you must be booked on to a group or session in order to attend.

Refuge

We offer refuge and dispersed accommodation for women and their children. Our refuge is staffed 24/7 and Families are supported by a dedicated keyworker during their stay with us. Our support is both trauma informed and practical. We encourage women to access our many support programmes and engage in the local community and at our Women’s centre.

Tailored programmes that help
  • One to one Keyworker advice 
  • VOICE (Victim’s of Intimate Coercive Experience) – An interactive twelve week part knowledge based and part-therapeutic programme to support victims understand the various behaviours of controlling partners, enabling victims to learn more about the impact of traumatic experiences to build their capacity for self regulation and self care. 
  • Flourish VR course – 4 sessions of a virtual reality experience using a headset, which includes inspirational interviews with survivors and experts, animations, mindfulness meditations and life coaching, and aims to promote resilience and recovery for people affected by gender-based violence.
